Adaptation of children to treatment
Psychological adaptation is a special service that helps children to undergo dental treatment with comfort and confidence. We understand that the first visit to the dentist should be successful, so we strive to provide a caring and friendly atmosphere where your child will feel comfortable.
The dentist begins the adaptation process by establishing contact with the child and builds interaction with him/her on the basis of trust and cooperation. The doctor communicates with the child, answers all the questions asked. In a playful way, the doctor introduces the child to the office and the dental chair. The child can choose his or her favorite cartoon to watch.
On a demonstration dental model, the doctor shows how the child's oral cavity will be examined, and also introduces the instruments.
Then the dentist gradually moves on to the main procedures, starting with a routine oral examination and brushing the teeth, so that the child feels comfortable and accustomed to the process.
It is important to be patient and understanding of the child's reactions, allowing him or her to stop or rest if necessary.
